Privacy policy

Not yet reviewed by counsel. A working draft prepared for review.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us. Your name, work email, phone, role, organization name and type, member or employee count, state, the programs you are interested in, and anything you write in a message.
- Consent records. When you agree to be contacted we store the exact text shown, a version identifier, your IP address, your browser user agent, and a timestamp.
- Payment information. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own hosted checkout and are tokenized by Stripe. Card numbers never reach our servers. We receive a customer identifier, the last four digits, and the status of a payment.
- Usage information. Pages viewed and general location at city level, through Google Analytics — see section 5.
We do not ask for Social Security numbers, dates of birth, or financial account numbers on this site. Where a program you sponsor requires sensitive identifiers from your members — identity and credit monitoring is the usual case — those are collected by that provider under its own privacy policy, not by us.
2. How we use it
To respond to your request, prepare a quote, deliver and support programs you buy, bill you, meet legal obligations, and improve the site. We do not use your information to build advertising profiles.
3. Who we share it with
- Program providers. To quote or deliver a program, we share what the provider needs — typically your organization name, contact details, member count, and state. Where a provider contracts with you directly, they become an independent controller of that information under their own policy.
- Stripe, our payment processor.
- SMTP2GO, which delivers our transactional and notification email.
- Vercel, which hosts the site, and Supabase, which stores group account data.
- Google Analytics, as described in section 5.
- Legal authorities where required, and a successor in a merger or sale.
We do not sell personal information for money.
4. Consent to be contacted
Where you check the consent box, you agree that The Member Network may contact you by email, phone, or text about member benefit programs, including by automated means. Consent is not required to purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts, or use the unsubscribe link in any email.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-0F35DSVY2V) to measure how the site is used. It is configured with IP anonymization on and with Google advertising signals and ad personalization off. We do not run advertising pixels or remarketing tags.
Under California law, analytics of this kind can count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can switch it off at Do not sell or share my personal information. That control stops the analytics tag from loading, sets Google’s opt-out flag, and deletes analytics cookies already on your browser. We also honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal automatically.
We also set a small number of strictly necessary cookies — your privacy choice, your accessibility preferences, and a session cookie if you sign in.
6. Retention
Quote requests and contact messages are kept for [PLACEHOLDER — X] months. Account and billing records are kept as long as the account is active and afterwards as required for tax and accounting. Consent records are kept as long as we may need to evidence them.
7. Security
The site runs over HTTPS with a content security policy and standard security headers. Access to submissions is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to know what we hold, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of sharing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Email privacy@clubmembers.net and we will respond within the time the applicable law allows. An authorized agent may act for you with proof of authorization.
9. Children
This site is for business contacts at organizations and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Third-party sites
Program portals and provider sites have their own privacy policies. This policy covers only clubmembers.net.
11. Changes
We will update the date above when this policy changes.
